Rainbow blessings

It's been a very tiring period coz mum is unwell again. This time, much more worrying to a certain extent but she's slowly recovering. Age and her health has brought much frailness onto her body.

But I'm thankful for a lot of my friends around, constantly offering support and all and today, rainbow blessing from Joanne!

  

Thank u for the warm wishes! Very much touches my heart when you constantly check on me and showers me with concern and support!

Ladies Club!

A late night catch up with the ladies at Ber's place before clammy pops! It was a great 'sex and the city' ladies night affair, cozy and enjoyable!

 

 

 

 

Hunny Bunny September 2016 Date Night - Visit to Farmers Market!

Our September's date night... was supposed to be a visit to a farmer's market with possibility of trying to fix dinner from what we got there................

...... got compromised to visiting Pasar Bella and the one at Suntec summore......

I was quite tired after having been home after work, waiting for bunny to be ready (yes, this is a rant).

We effectively only got on our way by 9pm.

But i must say this guy from Pimp My Salad made my day! I ordered salad and he gave me a stamp card (like a rewards card) and he gave me 2 stamps coz he said he was feeling happy. Small gestures like these goes a long way! haha

and the salad was pretty good! I couldn't not order coz i saw the salmon and the pesto ball they had!

Bunny ordered a burger from Wolf Burgers... 

Oh man it was amazing! 

the burger was juicy and beefy! very good! We will be back!

anddddd their nutella shake was incredibly good!

We couldn't resist also ordering from Cajun on Wheels...

 

The fish nuggets were really tender and it came it spam fries!!

Also must add that the price is super reasonable, its cheaper than some hawker western food found near my neighbourhood!

and that sums up our short farmers market date night!

Domestic Goodness

Mum has been admitted since 2 days ago, condition is sort of 'stable' though we are still not 100% sure what it is. It started off as suspected dengue despite the obscene amount of insect repellent i bought to liver conditions to the pancreas and both. And today she goes though the procedure of scoping in search for some not so precious stones. Its a tiring process and definitely breaks the heart to see her in all these pain and super worrying with the yellowing of her skin and eyes.

In any case, we will get through this together as a family. It actually is very scary looking at how my parents have been aging. The whole frailness of their body and all, its ascending to a whole different level yet there is just this much we can do.

The whole point of this entry isn't about my mum's condition though. It is about my domestic help Detchie. She is scheduled to head home for her home leave in October. But seeing how my mum is, she actually voluntarily offered to postpone her home leave. We all know how much she was looking forward, to be united with her son and all so honestly, we are very touched by her gesture. We have always known we are pretty blessed to have her. I mean true she's not perfect (just like how we are not too) and gets on my nerves at times but her strengths greatly covers a lot of these. She also has a number of times proved to really care for both my parents and for that i'm grateful. Really touched my heart when she spoke to me about offering to stay on first.
