My Surprise Yummy Valentines Flowers!

Geor came with a special delivery during lunch!

Because i highlighted not to waste money on bouquets, she seeked alternatives and get me flower pots of desserts instead! and they look oh so lovely!

aren't they pretty??? She got them from Fart Tartz!

1 Expo Drive, #02-04
Singapore 486150
enquiry@farttartz.com

my little box here attracted lots of envy which i also shared the love...

there are apparently different flavours. I think there's nutella oreo, matcha and a few other flavours. I didn't know until i gave out a few so i only got to try the nutella oreo.

They were so good. Smooth layers of cake, oreo bits, cream and nutella. Yummy! and pretty!

and my assigned photographer, Fishy doing a fish!

after work today, the committee in charge of staff welfare stayed behind to do up the place. the theme was Love Is In The Air. We got loads of heart shaped balloons to surprise everyone when they come in the office tomorrow!

the finished work was beautiful!

Be in for a surprise tomorrow!

有你真好team seeks GYM forgiveness!

we had a random discussion and figured that the return of the borrowing of luck from GYM seems to have to take place before 立春 and not before the new year's date of borrowing. so regardless, we decided if so, we ought to go return and seek GYM's forgiveness for being late!

and since Rouse was round the corner, we headed there for a quick lunch!

Address: 36 Dunlop Street, 209364
Phone:6292 2642

the whole place was a rustic feel with the walls with peeled paint and all...

as there were a few of us, we ordered a few items to share...

Krusty Kari Burger.....

its soft shell crab burger with a curry sauce. comes with sweet potato fries. i liked the soft shell crab and the curry sauce.

everyone can't wait to tuck in while i went.. " wait! i haven't take pictures!! " #woesofafoodblogger #woesofdiningwithafoodblogger hahahaha

and the Quinoa Quake...

i would say this is Yang Ling's favourite. I like it too. The quinoa patty was good and went very well with the smoked salmon... in between is a poached egg! The sauce was really good too.

we had another crab item, the Crabby Patty...

a yummy crab cake. and of coz, because i don't like mango, i can't comment on the sauce because its a mango sauce. but i will say its a good crab cake!

and this was what got me to head down - the open faced beef sandwich...

unfortunately, i wasn't wow or won by this. The beef felt rather dry. I very much preferred the crabby patty and quinoa quake.

we also share a cake, ondeh ondeh in flavour..

which was moist but lacking in gula melaka.

but overall a delightful meal! Service was also thumbs up!

Chinatown Shopping 2015 with THE MJ Channels

ON HALF DAY TODAY!!

feels so damn good!

CNY is round the corner and apparently i'm not the only one who wants to do facial. and i'm booking it so last minute that facial slots are all packed and i feel an immense need to save my skin! Since that free Sulwhasoo free facial, im sold on their facial! It makes my skin look really radiant even without makeup (for that few days) haha.

so since i'm on half day, brunch sounds like a damn good item to plant into the agenda for the day!

Geor picked me up and we headed for brinch at Symmetry!

ordered my favourite lychee mint! they have upsized on their portion! I love this drink and they do it so well! so much so that despite the upsize i just had to have another serving of it! haha

and geor ordered the infamous truffle fries with truffle mayo...

i really like their truffle mayo, smells so good! but oh well, anything with truffle tastes great! in my opinion!

and there's the crispy squid with squid ink aioli...

the squid ink aioli was tasty as usual. i really like them for their creativity. Creative and still taste good! The squids were of a good texture as well!

for mains, we had the beef cheek which came with foie gras...

it was soooo good!

we also had the truffle scrambled egg with smoked salmon.

enjoying the meal!

after the meal, i headed for my facial while Geor went to pick up Meow. They came back for me, we did some shopping at Centrepoint and collected all my CNY clothes which i sent for alterations.

By dinner time, we headed over for dinner at Por Kee! Meow was giving us a treat coz she has been very lucky lately!

Bri and Mel also joined us for dinner!

we shared a cereal prawn...

which was decent.

and a essence of chicken frog leg...

which i super like! to begin with, i like essence of chicken! the frog legs were also tender. yummy!

and of coz, the MUST ORDER is the champagne pork rib!

the meat is tender and succulent!

you have a choice of long or short ribs. the long ribs are usually my choice. each piece is almost like  a big piece of pork chop! the sauce is not overly sweet like some pieces. i reallly like it!

After a quick dinner, we headed over to Chinatown. Pearl and Mr Ho caught up with us at Chinatown.

and we went around for some CNY shopping!

the golden coins decor stringed along the road reminds me of Super mario!

and this bracelet will relate well to our group! Mahjong! hahaha.. not enuff tiles during game can use! hahaha

time really flies. a short half day just flew past and its back to work tomorrow.

My First Hair Cut from Sophia of Aqua Hair Korean Salon

for awhile i have been wanting to do something to my hair. It seems to lack a shape or i just wanted to look different. I did head over to my trusty ah Hui for a trim over the weekend. It was then that i realised it has been about a year since i actually went for a hair cut with him. and i actually barely did any trim for the past year... and i suddenly remember why! ahhaa.. coz he cut it too short (in my opinion) when i went to him, also before CNY last year! hahahaha

Geor says its very stressful to cut my hair. want to cut yet cannot compromise on length. hahaha

so anyway, sidenote, ah hui has since changed salon (kinda... still under Shunji but previously was called Base Station when located in Isetan) and the new environment feels a lot more cramp and messy. I kinda preferred when he was in isetan. Feels quieter and all.

many would know ah hui as my trusty stylist coz i have easily recommended about 20 over people whom a good 50% still go to him regularly. The rest who dont is probably coz he is just too far away (Tampines).

anyway, ah hui is a stylist with visions, who wants to do it differently from others. So he look up courses, business courses. I admire him for the discipline and visions. As such, he is taking a hiatus and will only be back maybe 6 months to a year later.

OK.. so i have drifted. So i wasnt satisfied with my hair cut over the weekend from Hui, i was yearning for some change. Something different that i can tell i guess. I was really tempted to cut it short yet the days of having blow dry it just strikes fear in me - though yes, i do still have to blow dry and curl my long hair now but its just different. Long hair is alot easier to do all that. Plus long hair i can kinda of at certain days afford to not style it and just tie it all up on a super late day (which i am fully capable of being late like all the time - i'm sorry).... and so, in the office, YL and Sonia were both visiting Sophia of Aqua Hair Korean salon and they have beautiful hair. In fact i have been itching to visit Sophia for a long time but never got down to it. YL recently had a very nice new hair cut so i am tempted once again.

so i went. Aqua is located at level 2 or 3 of Delfi Orchard. Sophia is korean - as you would have guessed. She is very sweet and very gentle. It was a very nice experience.

and the results were pleasing!

actually, i was very torn, very keen to cut my hair short again but decided to put that aside till after CNY. Let's not make rash decisions before CNY. hahaha

Geor came to meet me after the cut....

and we went for Nam Nam!

Her first Nam Nam experience!
