The JKT Diarrhea

Squiddy was not kidding when she shared with me her 30days diarrhea from Jkt.

It's like my 3rd day and counting :(

Glad to be home!

Don't really like flights!

Another random choice but this time it's due to the the name and decor that i chose this place.

And accordingly, this is what it stands for...

A semi fusion Chinese decorated cafe....





Love being welcomed by a life size fortune cat!

The menu was like some olden martial skills book!

Ordered a prawn and salted egg dumpling...

Which was ok. Can say it's pretty good for jakarta standards.

Also ordered a fried noodle served in the ang moh Chinese food takeaway box!

This noodle is seafood fried noodles and it's very yummy! I realize they do pretty good fried noodles and rice!

Also couldn't resist ordering the 5 colours Xiao long bao! 

While it probably looks ok, it was quite bad. Haha so much so that I couldn't even finish one. 

And being a halal country, the Xiao long bao is made of chicken instead of pork/beef.

Couldn't help also order the Sheng Mian... which is fried noodles in a seafood gravy...

Which was not bad!

After the meal, I went on for a quick cream bath! 

Seven Friday cafe revisited

It was a last minute trip to Jkt and this time the stay is at Four Points Sheraton. This trip hasn't been the most pleasant. Starting from a sicko uber driver who tried to harass on my first day here to a not so sound proof room at the start of the lunar seventh month!

We are back to Seven Friday! Recalling how good the food seemed to have been previously, it's great keeping a food blog coz I can always refer back what I liked or din like and how much I liked it.

The lychee tea is a popular drink in indo. Every other place serves it. Probably more popular than lemon tea.

The calamari was good! Chewy in texture and the garlic bits above are saltish. 

The mayo they serve it with is superb!

And because the previous time, the beef bowl was so good, had to order it again!

The beef is the rib part, tender and nicely seasoned with a dark sauce that goes so well with the rice. The sous vide egg when it oozes and mixed with the rice and the beef is just awesome!

The perfect spot (in my view) is always occupied by their staff....

Referring back, I super loved their beef bowl so it's a no brained repeat order for me!

The beef rib is tender and nicely seasoned with some dark sauce. The sous vide egg when poked, oozes and wets the rice. It's really good!

Best part of it is, the price tag here is really reasonable.

Calamari was about  S$4? The beef bowl was around $8?

It was a steal.

And anyway abt jkt, as u all would have heard, the jam here is damn bad. A short distance also can jam one hour. 

Work trips are never easy, it's always like 10times more busy coz by the time u are back to the hotel, it's time to clock the hours to handle the never ending emails :(

Having said that, I also do appreciate in some sense, the exposure that a regional role brings, having the opportunity to experience places and things I probably wouldn't meet or experience if I was in singapore or if I went on a holiday trip instead.

Best birth control on flight

All hells broke loose when there's no just one but two crying baby on flight. One attempting to outdo another.
