My date with Charming for his birthday @ Imperial Treasure

The day started with a training session which is very enriching and exciting. It speaks about unleashing your strengths and through some personality test, it helps to identify your top strengths.


There are a total of 34 themes, of which, my top 5 themes were:

1. Communication
People who are especially talented in the Communication theme generally find it easy to put their thoughts into words. They are good conversationalists and presenters.

2. Woo
People who are especially talented in the Woo theme love the challenge of meeting new people and winning them over. They derive satisfaction from breaking the ice and making a connection with another person.

3. Activator
People who are especially talented in the Activator theme can make things happen by turning thoughts into action. They are often impatient.

4. Connectedness
People who are especially talented in the Connectedness theme have faith in the links between all things. They believe there are few coincidences and that almost every event has a reason.

5. Individualization
People who are especially talented in the Individualization theme are intrigued with the unique qualitys of each person. They have a gift for figuring out how people who are different can work together productively.

As mentioned, there are like 34 themes in total but the above are my top 5.

i like the way it teaches you how everyone is different and no one theme is better than the other. It essentially speaks about how you should know THIS IS what you are and what you should do is to KNOW what are your themes and MAXIMISE IT, MAKE IT YOUR STRENGTH. Let what you are good at, help you succeed because its so little effort for you to grow it, its so little effort to initialise it to leap forward because it is a natural strength for you.

It also speaks about taking notes of activities that strengthens you, activities that energises you and stay away from activities that drains you.

Having said that, its not saying that you should totally ignore what you are lacking in but it also teaches you to find compatible partners - applicable to work / romance / socially, etc., to complement each other.

Instead of me going on and on (which i can), i think what may be more interesting is if you hear from the expert. Marcus Buckingham is apparently a key speaker on this topic and i think this video is a good watch...









i think Wei Seng and i totally enjoyed today's session. At least, we realised that we can be really good partners at work coz our strengths complement each other! haha.. and as i've always joked, Wei Seng is like my soulmate at work! haha

after work, i headed to ToysRus to get presents for my dear charming!

Yesterday was his birthday and we were supposed to do a FaceTime call but Charming had already fallen asleep when i was done with my stuff. We arranged to do dinner today and Ken (my prospective father-in-law) suggested Crown Prince Hotel's Imperial Treasure coz he said he owed me roast meat from there. haha.. he has previously raved to me about Imperial Treasure's roast meat.

and my mother in law wanted more meat so we had another serving!



overall, the dishes were good. except the salted egg sotong which was probably a little overcooked hence the texture of the squid wasnt as good.

and charming was just too absorbed in his new toys and just wanted to urge us to quickly finish our meal and get home...

good bye kiss from charming...







the clown came to pick me up and he met charming for the first time. Charming gave me a good bye kiss again and a good bye hug.

Charming upon seeing him smiled shyly and waved to me saying.. " bye bye princess, see you tomorrow ok? "

AWWWwwww.... and the clown said.. " 真惹人疼 "

it was supposed to be a very good day. but instead, certain dark fragments of my memories were triggered.
