With greater expectations

Comes greater disappointments.

I guess this is probably why people who plan for occasions e.g. Weddings and all, sometimes end up with loads of angst and disappointments because you visualize for something so perfect, all that joy and all but if it fails, it just feels like it's all taken away from you.

But how can people not have any expectations? What progress or peaks do we get if we have zero expectations?

What is wrong with feeling disappointment? Isn't that an emotion that comes along when things fail? Why isn't it an entitlement to feel disappointment when things fail or don't go my way?
