And.. we are ready for dinner and party!! A liftie before we split into different cab adventures to get to the Bund!
And another over at the Bund!
Dinner is over at Mr & Mrs Bund, located at Bund 18!
The beautiful thing abt Shanghai has got to be their buildings. One look and it's very shanghai!
Bund 18!
And apparently, Mr & Mrs Bund is one of the top notch restaurant in Shanghai. So glad Bibi got us reservations!
The interior was gorgeous! There was ample space between tables and all the chairs were the big plushy sofas, I love it! It's hard to find such in Singapore likely due to the constraint in space.
We were first served the complimentary bread which most of them loved the pointy pointy one.
Even the bread was like a piece of art!
And bread thingy they served with a canned (not sure tuna or salmon) foam/mash thingy...
This was good! The bread was so thinly sliced and crispy, good for non bread lovers like me!
We mixed some orders and we also went for the rmb $688 per pax for 2 set meal. This truffle bread came with it.
The truffle bread was so good! There was something lemony on the foam and the truffle was roasted. The bread below was soooo crispy. It was just all a very good combination!
Escargots were also ordered to share...
The escargots were served in a slight minty sauce, it was good! It's different from the typical garlic like sauce.
Cold cuts which the pate won the hearts of many!
Sauces to go with the different ham.
And another item from our set was the beef short ribs which I swear looked small in the menu but it turned out to be this size!
Good enough to be cut up for sharing....
And, it was SO DAMN GOOD!
Like seriously! It was tender and had a good amount of marbling! The sauce was also awesome. Not overly sweet!
And a prawn that came in a jar!
Quite a big prawn!
The other mains in the set menu was the cod fish...
Which was also good but the beef rib took all the limelight away!
We were also encouraged to order sides which we did. We clearly over ordered and everyone was super full but I'd say it was worth it!!!
Coz the sides all tasted really good! I missed out taking pics of the salads but they are all so good!
The Mac and cheese!
Small little macaroni with thick cheese. It was reasonably flavoured and favoured! Haha
The mash potato was so smooth!
Dessert was a mango something which I didn't try but I heard it's good...
Dessert was a mango something which I didn't try but I heard it's good...
And a lemon dessert which they said took 48 hours to prepare....
And yeah, 'congratulation' lol... S missed out!
The first poke was not the most glam shot, reminded me of the pimple popper! Ewww. But the taste was pretty good. It was a little sour with the custard like thingy oozing out and some lemon/grapefruit like pulp.
Cheers to the beginning of a great night! Basically this group of girls had champagne with everything! It's like we were on a save water, drink champagne mission here in shanghai! Hahahaha
And Mr and Mrs Bund had a great view!
Cam whore mode on for all of us!
And it was hilarious, we saw a dessert being served with sparklers and we all thought it was for us but it went right past us to another table celebrating birthday!
So it was no surprise ours came with sparklers too!
What a glorious celebration!
Selfie over dinner!
The thick beef rib deserves more photography moments!
Likewise for the prawn! This place will definitely be another must visit when I head to Shanghai!
