mr chua came on time as arranged to fetch me den we went over to pick kaizhi up to the airport.
on flight meal..
on flight me!
on flight kaizhi!
HK customs queue was ridiculously long!
took the mtr over to town...
took the airport shuttle bus service...
free and goes straight to our hotel!
i was kind of raving to kaizhi about our hotel... how convenient etc. she was also semi raving about this other hotel she stayed when she went with elrin etc.. turns out, ITS THE SAME HOTEL!!
just that this hotel used to be called YMCA, now its called Cityview.
After we checked in, rooms were not ready so i QUICKLY brought kaizhi to my Sheng Ji Porridge!! located right opposite our hotel...
oh how i miss you, thick and yummy you tiao!!
and the super fresh (also one of their signature dishes) and thick fish porridge...
the porridge is smooth and sweet, flavoured by the fish! the fish is meaty and yummy!
and my favourite pig liver porridge!!
I CAN NEVER FIND A PORRIDGE STORE IN SINGAPORE WITH SUCH GENEROUS SERVINGS OF PIG LIVER! their pig liver is in big pieces and they give a lot of pieces! and i think the size of the liver helps that the doneness of the liver is just right!! im sorry, just right is an understatement, ITS SUPER GOOD LA!!
kaizhi also ordered the fish cake...
dont quite fancy it.
Junie is a happy girl with Sheng Ji Porridge!
got back to the hotel, checked into our rooms. Room is honestly quite small... Cityview may have great location but room size is *sigh*. haha
cam whore while kaizhi took a short nap!
we headed to Causeway bay! Times Square....
we shopped around a bit and went for dinner at this place called SML. Recommended by my cousins Wendy and Jessica.
wow, check out their lifts, got air con inside one!
SML Times Square, Hong Kong
11th Floor, Times Square
Causeway Bay, Hong Kong
Tel: 2577 3444
Fax: 2577 3434
the SML mascot...
the restaurant interior...
we took seats outdoor... check out the view and the landscapes!
the ambience was really good (despite the hazy weather and the smokers)... it was great that the weather was cooling. why cant singapore have such cooling weathers that makes al fresco dining a breeze?
they are called SML coz all their items would come in Small, Medium and Large sizes.
ox tail risotto (S)...
the tomato flavoured rice is really good.
truffle and mushroom risotto (S)...
also not bad. truffle taste can afford to be stronger (in my view).
crispy pork belly (S)..
also damn yummy!!!
vongole (S)...
their vongole is DAMN GOOD! the pasta flavour is just right, its got that right punch of clam taste. the clams are huge and fresh!
for desserts, we had the bread and butter pudding (S)...
its also really really good! kaizhi said she really loves it!
and an ice cream...
all the all, the food at SML really rocks! why dont they open a branch in Singapore?? i will be back!!
we kind of shifted inside for desserts coz it was getting kind of cold and there were just too much smokers around...
one of the souvenirs i bought! i think its really cute!
after dinner, we headed back to the hotel for an early night because zhuhai is on our agenda tomorrow!
