we made an effort to wake up around 9 for our breakfast!
again, love their lovely settings...
was expecting a pretty good buffet spread but realised their breakfast is more of ala carte. only fruits are avail for buffet...
bread and pastry bowl..
there were a number of items on the menu.. you can order more than one item so its a little like ala carte buffet!
i had the two eggs any style....
as the name suggest, i can choose how i want my two eggs to be done. i had it poached and scrambled. the scramble eggs were decent. the poached eggs were a little too sour for my liking probably coz they added a little too much vinegar when doing the poaching.
it is also served with hash browns, beef bacon and sausage. these were all decent. comes with a deep fried piece of toast which was a little oily.
izzy had the waffles....
which was pretty good with the mango fritters.
we went for another round!
my next was omelette with smoked salmon, brie cheese and chives..
what i really liked about the service here in Cameron Highland Resort is how they barely say "No" to customers.
i asked if the smoked salmon is actually cooked in the omelette or served seperately and the server told me... " it is cooked inside but if you'd like, we can seperate it for you "
WONDERFUL!
the brie cheese in the omelette was not bad. made better by the good service.
izzy's round 2 was the noodles of the day which was bee hoon...
their bee hoon is damn good!! its really yummy!
after our breakie, we headed back to our rooms to SLEEP further. SHIOK!
肥死 but heck!
today our agenda is for a relaxing day!
we slept all the way till around 1 plus before we started to prepare to head out.
first, we went around the hotel to take some pictures.
the computers available for use....
btw, wifi is available all around the hotel... i like!
after we were done, the hotel staffs helped us to get a cab. the cab driver charges around ringgit $30 per hour and can drive you anywhere.
i was keen to check out this strawberry cafe called Strawberry Moments near Brinchang town but sadly it was closed when we got there. Hence we checked out this Oldies & Goodies restaurant next door.....
their food was not bad. the fried rice is tasty. the noodles too. wanted to try their roast pork but it was out. the char siew was not bad. duck and chicken can be better.
i tried a water cress prune drink which was nice! has a little bit of winter melon taste.
izzy's yuan yang was really GOOD!
one not so good thing is there was a lot of flies around which is relatively common around cameron highlands.
next, we adjourned over to the Boh Tea Plantation...
the factory area to show us the processes in making tea...
and a drink at their little cafe....
the lime green tea drink is pretty refreshing!
the view is awesome!
feels great chilling out in the afternoon at such nice view over a cuppa...
next stop was the tanah rata town. they have a starbucks there! and a marrybrown...
we were still very full so we ta bao back to the hotel...
their fried chicken is nicer than kfc's in my view. the tower burger is not bad. i like their smiley potatoes! so cute!!
back in the hotel, i got a watsapp message from seaweed leoie... " Junie " which i replied.. " 稀客! "
haha.. which he joked to say his gf 'stalks' juneoesque (he was joking, thanks for reading Qiuting!) and wants to know about the vintage high tea place. haha
thank cute qiuting for reading! and hehe.. thanks for complimenting me! but im photogenic plus i photoshop! so tam poh hard not to look pretty in the pictures. wahhahahahahaa
i hope leoie brings u for the vintage high tea soon!
i was telling leoie im in cameron highlands and how great the place looks... leoie told me " don't post " hahahahahhahaa
the conversation was quite funny.. i kept typing " Lil " for my LOL and leoie said i have fat fingers like him.
I where got? So i kept typing LOL LOL LOL!
miss u seaweed! meet up soon!
after dinner, we packed up a bit and i headed to koonz while izzy waited to catch the euro cup.
