daddy texted me early this morning asking me what i'd like to have for my birthday meal.
i was seriously tempted to tell him.. Mortons!
joelle has sold me the mortons idea and i seriously have mortons steak spinning around my head instead of stars. even as i went for my nap, i kept dreaming of my mortons celebration and the victoria secrets weekender bag i was eyeing for.
vs bags are more investable than lv or chanel la! wat the beep man! seriously, the bag is selling for like 50 - 60 (for 2 - 3 bags) on the website, those people who import it in sell it for $80 - $100 EACH and a few years later (ya, i also duno why recently i have been buying old range bags.. maybe coz im scared its like the burberrys one, don't buy really dont have dont have liao)... i found one online selling for a freaking $258! WHAT THE BEEP right??
when i woke up this morning i was tempted to just ignore watever bills and watever delayed pay situation i have and just click BUY NOW.. but i lun!!
luckily i did that! i found another seller selling it for $140! when i called her, she said its out of stock and i reconsidered the $258 one. but after we hung up, she asked if i was asking for the black one or beige one and she said she may still have the black one a thome so i waited from 11 am to 4 pm for her to get home to check. i found this to be a semi miracle (in some sense) situation telling me MUST BUY!! she agreed to meet me at night
and when i went to nap, i dreamt of collecting the bag from the seller! haha
ok so anyway back to mortons, i figured it doesnt make sense to go there coz mum doesnt eat beef and we'll be bringing aishah as well. the whole meal would come up to a big amount. after some thinking through, i decided Dozo will be a good place to bring them. where i can still have my western food while my parents will probably be enticed by the concept and variety of food too!
i called and made reservations myself and the person asked me.. " any occassion? " and i replied.. " ya, my birthday " .. feels so loser-ish. hahaha... birthdays are supposed to be planned and organised by others isnt it? anyway, no one planning for me and even when people do, its usually not well planned or not planned in the way i'd like it to be. i'd like someone who bothers to make sure its well planned with all the details paced out... but oh well, its with my parents and i know they 疼 me to the bits so yeah, im just ranting.
the complimentary fried soba...
hmmm.. not as nice as the previous visit. and i like the above shot! shows part of my dad and part of my mum looking at the menu!
first we were served the plum sorbert...
to cleanse the palate.
first up is the chef special which is the same as what we had on chit loong's birthday.
overall, food is good at Dozo. we were given extra desserts to try and also a cake for me! (although i already expected the cake but haha.. thank u Dozo! its much appreciated!!)
and after dinner, i got home before heading out again to amk to pick up my birthday present to myself!
super like the bag!
i went to amk myself despite mel mel and crabby trying to tell me how dangerous amk is at night. they made amk out to be some incredibly dangerous place la!
and den when i posted on fb, my cousin jessie said she has this bag which she bought at 50 - 60 dollars a few years back. and she said i could have borrowed hers.
lol.. i feel like killing myself! hahahaha
past birthdays always SEEM to be happier. though i always tend to cry on my birthday/birthday eves. i shouldnt actually cry.. i know im much loved (i think). heh..
Happy birthday to me!
