Kaizhi's Big 3!

it's kaizhi's big 3 celebration today! we made a date to do brunch at Food For Thought over at Queen Street.

since about a month ago, i have been actively trying to round up her friends to see if they would want to share a fone as a birthday gift for her coz her fone has been giving her issues... and from an absolutely no iphone decision, we have been sounding her out till she seemed to have changed decision to go for an iPhone. so instead of the actual fone, we went ahead to pass her cash which resulted in this card i made...

there was actually quite a queue. reservations were not allowed...

i brought them the Preehhh from KL!



snowy had the mushroom soup ($6) which was pretty good....



we also shared a full works ($18)...



the potato was round balls.. the sausage was not bad, mushrooms were nice and the nicest was the brioche. its a bread like thingy which also taste a bit like cake. a tinge of sweetness.. it goes very well with the scramble egg. its damn good!

we also shared a steak with blue cheese butter ($25)...



their thick fries were good. i was eager to try the blue cheese butter but sadly the blue cheese butter did not have that very pungent taste. the steak was pretty alright.



what you ABSOLUTELY MUST MUST MUST have when you come to Food For Thought, is their pancakes! We had the pancake with stewed berries and dark chocolate ($12)...



these have got to be the BEST PANCAKES I HAVE EVER HAD!! the pancakes are sooooo soft, soooo fluffy and they also come with cream and gula melaka.. its just damn nice! 

we also shared a hosin har cheong baby back ribs ($24)...



the ribs are yummy! fulled with meat and easily removed from the bones. the sauce was also good, not too super sweet. i also love their potato gratin. its darn good! 

we also shared a garlic prawns linguine ($16)....



the linguine was pretty good. 

overall, the food were all good!! very yummy!! and they all look good too! haha















den it was present time!! i got two red packets for kaizhi to choose....









see, i even made sure the ang pow had my branding! hehe....



kaizhi took a while to decide which ang pow to choose....







eventually she chose the small one...





and found the iphone i made for her...











and she must have thot the $ was inside the small one... hehe.. its inside the big ang pow! which we did also subsequently give to her!

after lunch, praise and snowy went for church while i shopped around with kaizhi....







i love this name...





kaizhi later left for another celebration which i shopped around till i met up with praise again for dinner and movie.

we had dinner at the taiwanese xin wang.

i had the bee hoon with eel soup...



the bee hoon was ok... the eel soup was interesting! its thick stock with eel bits.

praise had some stewed meat thingy....



praise accompanied me to catch the show True Love Has No Boundaries...



its a lesbian show featuring vivan chow and sandra ng. rather interesting show and sets me thinking.. haha.. how does it really feel to be with a girl?? a customer actually recommended this show to me. vivian chow is still soooo pretty!
