Given my age, those around me that should get married should already be married (except me lor)! so its been a long while since i went through the hens night and wedding phrase. But Bunny's circle, given her age, her circle is still going on this phrase!
Tonight is Candice's hen's night!
Definitely had a fun night with their group!
Never met someone who dislikes watermelon juice so much! and the missions they came up with, SO FUNNY!
Today marks our 4th year anniversary and the festive period has burnt a very big hole in our pockets! So this year's celebration is just a nice dinner and basing on our $5 dollars challenge, i lost so i need to treat!
We decided to head to Da Luca!
When we got there, we were told Uni is not available for their famous truffle pasta unless we ordered the Degustation Menu. So we went for it. It was $198 per pax.
First up, of course is the Uni pasta which bunny said she was surprised herself that she liked it coz she usually doesn't like uni. But it was so so good. Chilled and the texture of the noodles were awesome!
Next up is the scampi tartare! Many of you will know how much i loveeeeeee scampi! So sad that The Pelican took it off their menu! The scampi tartare was great and the chef fried the head, tempura style.. so good!
pasta was the tortellini with buratta inside... this was awesome! I really loved the flavours especially that of the sauce! There was an egg on the side... superb flavours on this one!
initially we were worried degustation menu means we may not be full but by now we were very full already!
But upcoming next was a grilled lobster....
it was nice too! the pasta was also nice in a tomato paste sauce.
and just as we were exploding, the change of the cutlery told us theres another meat dish and it was the pork....
we were too full to go on. the pork skin was thin and crispy and a very fatty pork layered on top of a nice bed of mash.
and to think we were greedy and ordered another side of half a buratta!
