i was having cravings for yakun kaya toast. secretly hoping that my flight will be at t3 where theres a 24 hours one. well, our flight was at t1. i had killiney as a not so ideal substitute.
its been a long long time since ah yee and myself went on a trip together! we used to travel together with our family. im so glad ah yee volunteered to go with me this time and saved me the headache of trying to find someone to 'sleep' with me. haha
the onflight breakfast..
not nice.
and coz its an old flight, i can barely watch my tv when the person in front of me is lying down.
luckily its not a very long flight. about 4 hours later, we have arrived in hong kong!
our agenda today is zhuhai! i showed ah yee how we could get to zhuhai from hong kong airport itself without even having to clear the hk customs.
as soon as we alighted, we searched for the ferries to mainland sign....
we bought the ferry tickets and boarded the ferry at the airport itself!
as for our luggage, by giving the person our luggage identification tag, they will transfer our luggage from our flight over to the ferry and have it sent over as well!
how convenient!

introduced ah yee the corn juice i had previously. i find it an interesting juice....
as they only have it hot, i requested to add $$ to add ice and make it cold. somehow i think they are typically not flexible to requests. they found my request terribly hard to comprehend. i realise this is typical of them.. they will not think or ponder first before shaking their heads and tell u 'no'.
anyway, we took a cab over to 地下广场 and started our day at Zhuhai. We first went over to the manicure shop to drop off our luggage bags so that it will be easier to shop. it helps that the manicure shop boss remembers me.
as we were still full from the plane food, we started our shopping. bought lots of earrings and iphone covers!
by dinner time, we wanted to go over to jin yuan but they were serving dishes so we decided to head elsewhere.
we chanced upon this Max's restaurant...
i was lured in by the yummy looking pictures of their food.
sadly, when i was ready to order my foie gras, my polenta beef etc...
ALL NOT AVAILABLE!!
i feel cheated! hahaha
but we did order their other stuff which proved to be pretty good!!
ah yee looking exhausted from a day of shopping....

beef stew...
the beef stew was great! the stew was tasty and the beef was nice in texture as well. i also like their potatoes!
ah yee ordered a chicken chop rice...
which was also good! although when it first arrived, ah yee said.. " 它可以再油一点 " hahahhaa.. coz it looked very oily.
and there was also the pork chop with mashed potatoes....
ITS SO GOOD! the pork was so bouncy yet tender! the cream sauce was oooo la la! the mashed potato was also nicely textured!
im missing it!
and carbonara...
also pretty good carbonara!
dinner was great!
after dinner, we did a little more shopping before heading to do our nails. after that we took our luggage over to the spa for a night of spa.
it was TIRING! coz we had to push our luggages to walk all the way to the spa. it made us more or less decided not to head back to jin yuan but head straight to the ferry terminal instead.
ah yee was impressed by how well i know the places and even the people. i make impressions (just not sure if they are good or bad ones!)
